Week 1
This month, we included flashcards showing what our preschool friends may create, but feel free to let them paint more too! If your child isn’t feeling like following along with the painting lesson, see if they would rather create their own masterpiece– at this point, art is more about having fun than creating something representational.

Drawing Spatial Relationships/Depth – February
These projects are meant to be fun, but educational. If for some reason the projects are too difficult, let your child explore space in an experimental way as they work through ideas and try new things. Sometimes it’s simply enough to create.
(Simplified version of each project coming soon)
Don’t forget to decorate those paint shirts! Be sure to cover the table adequately before letting them decorate it because these markers are permanent fabric markers.
Week 1: Simple Drawing of a Landscape
Week 2: Introduction to Linear Perspective
Parents, make sure you do the cutting part of this for your preschooler. You can have them help you, but it’s not safe for kids so young to hold a scissors like this by themselves.
Week 3: More Practice Showing Depth
Week 4: Drawing a House using Perspective
Clay – January
Notes: Kits for two or more artists will share paint and a box to paint/play with.
